Girls on Ice Switzerland

Girls on Ice Switzerland was founded in 2016 and is running under the umbrella of Inspiring Girls Expeditions. Inspiring Girls Expeditions offer unique, tuition-free wilderness expeditions that empower girls from all background.

We offered seven expeditions in Switzerland between 2017 and 2021. Each time, we explored Findelengletscher, above the village Zermatt, and its surroundings with 9 teenage girls.
Due to COVID-19 the 2020 expeditions were cancelled and an alternative short program takes place in beginning of August on Glacier de la Plaine Morte.

We also offer school workshops, have a look here.

From 2017 to 2021 Girls on Ice Switzerland was mainly funded through a Swiss National Science Foundation (SNFS) AGORA grant.
