Girls on Ice Switzerland was founded in 2016 and is running under the umbrella of Inspiring Girls Expeditions. Inspiring Girls Expeditions offer unique, tuition-free wilderness expeditions that empower girls from all background.
Our first two expeditions in Switzerland took place in July 2017, 2018 and 2019. We explored Findelengletscher, above the village Zermatt, and its surroundings with 9 teenage girls.
Due to COVID-19 the 2020 expeditions were cancelled and an alternative short program takes place in beginning of August.
For more information please visit www.inspiringgirls.org/switzerland or contact Girls on Ice Switzerland via email.
From 2017 to 2020 Girls on Ice Switzerland is funded through a Swiss National Science Foundation (SNFS) AGORA grant.
